𝐀𝐥𝐞𝐱𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐫𝐨𝐬 𝐕𝐚𝐬𝐦𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐚𝐤𝐢𝐬

From a 20-storey-high mural in the early 2000s that brought him international recognition, to a decade of creating his own oil pastels as tools for his abstract painting practice, Alexandros Vasmoulakis has continuously pushed the boundaries of his artistic language.

Working across painting, sculpture, and installation, Alexandros embraces experimentation and reinvention. Recycled materials find new life in his sculptural works and installations, while discarded remnants of carnival become unexpected, expressive backdrops for presenting his paintings. Across different mediums, he transforms overlooked materials into new contexts, challenging the boundaries between art, material, and presentation.

Alexandros was the very first artist and friend to join the gallery at its inception. A connection we cherish, and one that has continued to evolve alongside his work.

Since then, his paintings have featured in institutional exhibitions and collections, from the Benaki Museum to the Fondation Cartier, as well as in private collections. His work has also been presented at leading international art fairs, including Frieze and The Armory Show.

From monumental public interventions to the tactile world of abstraction, Alexandros continues to explore new territories, always on his own terms.

𝐂𝐚𝐢𝐨 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐢 (1985, Brazil)

Caio Marcolini approaches sculpture as a body in formation. His organic shapes swell, fold, and reach outward, evoking anatomy, growth, and the quiet instability of living matter.
Working with metal, a material associated with weight, permanence, and rigidity, he draws out an unexpected fragility.
The forms appear at once structural and vulnerable, as though they could shift or breathe.
In this contradiction, Marcolini creates a poetic language of tension: sculpture as both resistance and tenderness.

Four years ago, on the 60th anniversary of Algeria’s independence from French colonial rule, Isabelle D unveiled her Bruise series in London using the metaphor of bruising to reflect the wounds carried by people, cultures, and nations.

The collection became a pivotal moment in her practice, with the booth selling out in under 40 minutes.
Since then, she has continued to investigate the themes introduced in this body of work, most recently through stoneware sourced from formerly colonised countries.
